RECAP "jung&hungrig" Event Kicks Off at Our Studio with aed Stuttgart e.V. & Support of the City of Stuttgart
What a night! Our studio was full of energy and new ideas.
We had the honor to host the very first “jung&hungrig” event at studio creative underdogs. Presented by aed Stuttgart e.V. and supported by Innovationsmetropole NEW Stuttgart, our space turned into a meeting point for the product design, architecture, and interior design community.
I shared some insights about the journey of our studio-how we started, what inspires us, and a few bold, colorful, and playful projects from our team.
Then the best part: everyone stayed, relaxed, and connected over cold drinks. The talks were open and honest. You could feel the creative spark in every corner.
A big thank you to our team, Johanna and the aed crew, the city of Stuttgart, Jerrit Peinelt for the great photos, and all the guests who made this summer evening so special.
Stuttgart is a creative city-maybe more than people think. But it is not always easy for young studios to stand out. The new “jung & hungrig” series helps change this. Thanks to the Creative Connection program, up-and-coming studios are getting a chance to shine.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve been selected to launch the brand-new event series “jung&hungrig,” presented by aed Stuttgart e.V. and supported by Innovationsmetropole NEW Stuttgart.
Stuttgart may be a hidden creative capital, but for young studios, standing out can still be a real challenge. That’s exactly what “jung&hungrig” aims to change. Backed by the City of Stuttgart’s Creative Connection program, the series shines a spotlight on emerging creative studios making bold moves.
We’re honored to kick things off: Alex Klein from Studio Underdogs will be opening the doors to our studio at Marienplatz, offering a look behind the scenes—into both his own creative work and collaborations with well-known brands. And yes, there will be delicious bites to enjoy!

In the latest episode, REMIX, the spotlight is on how remixing plays a crucial role in music, art, and design. The show explores the creative process—how inspiration often sparks a new idea that is reshaped and brought back as a remix to the market.
We’re proud that our design contributed to this episode, and it seems that our collaboration is a great example of how a REMIX between two artists or design studios can lead to something new and exciting!

EIKE KÖNIG collaboration!
March 24: In a collaborative project, we worked with Eike König to realize a furniture project based on his Happy Branding series. Together, we designed and implemented the Happy Branding Chair.

Vista Alegre International Designers Residency 2024
Sep - Nov 24: Alex Klein has been accepted to the Vista Alegre International Designers Residency. He will be living alongside a few other international designers at the Portuguese ceramics and glass manufacturing company from September to November this year, where he will get to know the production process and staff, as well as design and produce prototypes for new products.
Co-Supervising IMIAD Master's Thesis at HfT Stuttgart
Feb - June 24: This semester, Alex Klein has the privilege of serving as an external co-supervisor for a master's thesis for the second time, providing guidance and leveraging his expertise in the furniture industry. This opportunity arises within the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, in the International Master of Interior-Architectural Design (IMIAD) program.

Jan 24: We spent a day at the Cologne Furniture Fair by train to assess the latest developments in the German furniture scene and to meet and exchange ideas with our project partners.

Aug 23: we managed the setup of COS's Autumn '23 window campaign in both Berlin and London. Despite the tight schedule, the experience was both demanding and gratifying.

Aug 23: We visited the Fondation Louis Vuitton to see the incredible collaborative works of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat in the exhibition. The combination of the exhibition and the building made the visit a special moment.

Aug 23: Norman Foster Exhibition in August '23 in Paris. The exhibition was fantastic, showcasing a multitude of projects and models.

New Location Offers "Furniture Delicacies" in Historic Corner Shop
We have relocated our studio back to Stuttgart! The studio is just around the corner from Marienplatz in the Lehenviertel, located at the intersection of Kolbstraße and Heusteigstraße in a corner shop that was previously a bike store and, in the '60s, a cheese shop. German Design Award Ceremony in Frankfurt
Feb 23: We had the honor of collecting our certificate for the German Design Award in a solemn ceremony in Frankfurt. Familiar faces from the design scene were everywhere. It's incredible to be a part of it, what an honor.
