These shelves were originally designed for our studio with a demand for pure functionality, inspired by the pure functionality of Donald Judd's furniture and the roughness of Tom Sachs objects. We have been using the baker's cases for storage in the studio for quite some time. The combination of the boxes with a shelf system is already known from the MAGAZIN and the refugee kitchen of our friend Markus Marschall.

 

Sea pine panels were stained in white with water-based hard wax oil and unspectacularly screwed together with Spax.

The shelves are single pieces, but can be individually adapted to the room upon request.

 

What we love about our work is working with friends. Mario Murgia is the carpenter of our confidence with whose help we have realised the project.
